Maud Smith

McCLURE, Ill. -- Maud E. Mainer Smith, 91, of Columbia, Ill., formerly of McClure, died Saturday, Dec. 28, 2002, at Monroe County Nursing Home in Waterloo, Ill.

She was born March 17, 1911, in McClure, daughter of George H. and Lucy O. Rader Mainer. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Columbia.

Survivors include a son, Paul B. Smith of Columbia; a sister, Hazel Hileman of Waterloo, Ill.; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Smith; and six brothers.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today, and from 8 a.m. to service time Tuesday at Quernheim Funeral Home in Waterloo.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jonathan Peters officiating. Burial will be in Waterloo Cemetery.
