EAST PRAIRIE -- Mattie Eunice Keen, 97, of East Prairie died Monday, Nov. 1, 1999, at East Prairie Nursing Center. She was born Oct. 4, 1902, in Luxora, Ark., daughter of Alfred and Lucy V. Turner Reynolds. She and Willie W. Keen were married Nov. 6, 1917, in Osceola, Ark. He died April 18, 1974...

EAST PRAIRIE -- Mattie Eunice Keen, 97, of East Prairie died Monday, Nov. 1, 1999, at East Prairie Nursing Center.

She was born Oct. 4, 1902, in Luxora, Ark., daughter of Alfred and Lucy V. Turner Reynolds. She and Willie W. Keen were married Nov. 6, 1917, in Osceola, Ark. He died April 18, 1974.

Keen lived in Mississippi County most of her life. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Survivors include a sister, Alvena Childs of St. Louis; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, a daughter, two brothers, two sisters and seven half brothers and sisters.

Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Matt Palmer will officiate. Burial will be in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
