JONESBORO, Ill. -- Funeral service for Mattie E. Wiggins of Jonesboro will be held at 1 p.m. today at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home in Jonesboro. The Rev. Larry Shacklee will officiate, with burial in Jonesboro Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 8 a.m. to service time.
Wiggins, 97, died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 1995, at Hillside Terrace Nursing Home in Cobden.
She was born Feb. 4, 1898, in Union County, daughter of Alexander and Nevada Hightower Toler. She and Cluster Wiggins were married Nov. 14, 1936. He preceded her in death.
Wiggins was retired from Anna State Hospital, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Anna.
Survivors include two sons, Ernest Jones of Conroe, Texas, Forrest Jones of Dongola; two sisters, Gladys Brown of Clearwater Beach, Fla., Wilda Pratt of Anna; a brother, Charles Toler of Missouri; four grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter.
