MATTIE BERRONG

ADVANCE -- Funeral service for Mrs. Mattie F. Berrong of Advance will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Morgan Funeral Chapel. The Revs. Jack Brown and Norman Elledge will officiate, with burial in Morgan Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:30-8 p.m. today.

Mrs. Berrong, 84 years old, died Monday, April 1, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 8, 1906, at McGee, daughter of Charley and Leota Barnes Duniphan. She married Noah Berrong March 28, 1926, at Zalma. She died July 17, 1983.

Mrs. Berrong was a member of Brush Creek Missionary Baptist Church near Arab.

Survivors include a son, Johnnie Berrong of Wappapello; two daughters, Pauline Rodgers of Madison, Ill., Christine Crader of Advance; two sisters, Dorothy McLeary of Bloomfield, Ethel Brunner of Plainwell, Mich.; 11 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, three brothers and three sisters.
