CAIRO, Ill. -- Mattesyn Allen Honey of Cairo passed away Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2019, at Children's Hospital in St. Louis from complications of Noonan syndrome and a congenital heart defect.

She was born Oct. 3, 2019, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Matthew and Jacquelyn Bledsoe Honey.

Survivors include her parents; sister, Mattelyn Honey of the home; paternal grandparents, David and Lisa Honey and Allan and Barbara Lang; maternal grandparents, James and Jo Bledsoe; paternal great-grandmother, Edna Honey; aunts and uncles, Emily and Brent Seyer, Jim and Leann Bledsoe, Jessie and Chris Davis, Joseph and Aurielle Bledsoe and Stephanie Curtis; and many great-aunts and great-uncles.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Barbara and Jack Sneed, Doug Honey, Irene and Orville Milliren, Mildred and Raymond Beasley, Georgia and Junior Olson, Dwight Bledsoe and Paul Tapley.

A special thank you for everyone's help, prayers and generosity during Mattesyn's struggles, especially Dr. Pirooz Eghtesady and the staff at Children's Hospital for their love and compassion.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Illinois.

Funeral service for Mattesyn Allen Honey will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Thebes, Illinois.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family for contributions to Children's Hospital Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
