SILVER LAKE -- Mary E. Zahner, 94, of Silver Lake died Tuesday, June 15, 1999, at Perry County Nursing Home. She was born June 23, 1904, at Silver Lake, daughter of Henry and Louise Geile Doll. She and John Zahner were married in December 1943. He died May 18, 1973...

SILVER LAKE -- Mary E. Zahner, 94, of Silver Lake died Tuesday, June 15, 1999, at Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born June 23, 1904, at Silver Lake, daughter of Henry and Louise Geile Doll. She and John Zahner were married in December 1943. He died May 18, 1973.

Zahner was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, its Ladies Sodality, and had been church organist.

Surviving are nieces and nephews, including Lawrence "Sonny" Doll of St. Louis.

He was preceded in death by three brothers.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville from 4-9 p.m. today, and Thursday from 6:30-9:20 a.m. The wake will be at 7 tonight.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Rose of Lima Church. The Rev. Alphonse Hoernig will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
