Mary Jo Yeager, 91, of St. Charles, Missouri, formerly of Cape Girardeau, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015, at Breeze Park Senior Community in St. Charles.
She was born Jan. 5, 1924, in Cherryvale, Kansas, to William and Myrtle Pilkington O'Leary.
She and Raymond H. "Ray" Yeager were married June 1, 1943, in Gulfport, Mississippi.
He preceded her in death May 16, 2006.
While living in Cape Girardeau, Mary worked at the license bureau and attended St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
Survivors include five children, Raymond "Hank" (Jane) Yeager Jr. of Glendale, Arizona, James Michael (Linda) Yeager of Freeburg, Illinois, Judy (Rick) Zerr of St. Charles, Patricia Yeager of Gilbert, Arizona, and Barbara (Steve) Manning of Phoenix; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Danny Michael (Becky) O'Leary of Las Vegas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray; three brothers; and a sister.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
