ALTO PASS, Ill. -- Mary Violet Wright, 79, of Alto Pass died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002, at her home.
She was born Sept. 14, 1923, at Kennett, Mo., daughter of Leonard and Rosie Bell Cox Goss. She and Arthur Wright were married Oct. 4, 1941, at New Madrid, Mo.
Survivors include her husband; six daughters, Rosie Tucker and Barbara Randolph of Cobden, Ill., Brenda Nixon of Hoxie, Ark., Mary Dillow of Alto Pass, Martha Wright of Anna, Ill., Betty Ledford of Cape Girardeau; three sons, Leonard Pack of Dexter, Mo., James Wright of Cobden, and Vernie Wright of St. Charles, Mo.
Also surviving is a brother, Eugene Goss of Golconda, Ill.; four sisters, Dorothy Albright of Ozark, Mo., Nora Robinson of Greenbrier, Ark., Inez Foster and Icy Donley of Golconda; 22 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two children, two sisters, four brothers, and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Alto Pass after 6 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Randolph officiating. Burial will be in Alto Pass Cemetery.
