Mary Loretta Winters, 67, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
She was born May 16, 1941, in Swifton, Ark., daughter of Mike and Rosa Pazdera Friga.
Winters was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral. She toured a year in Europe with a parish choir group. She was a loyal member of her Bible study group.
Survivors include a son, Ronald Winters of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; a daughter, Julia Winters of Chaffee, Mo.; three brothers, Alfred Friga of Chaffee, Tony Friga of Pomona, Mo., Ralph Friga of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Rosalia Friga of Oran, Mo. She was previously married to Donald Winters of St. Louis.
She is also survived by six grandchildren, a great-grandchild, 24 nieces and nephews and 40 great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, two brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be at 7.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Cathedral. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens at Morley, Mo.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Barnes Jewish Kidney Foundation.
