SIKESTON, Mo. -- Mary M. Sheron Wiggins, 43, of Sikeston died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born March 15, 1957, in Oran, Mo., daughter of Walter Smoot and Martha V. Sheron. She and Terry Wiggins were married in December 1994...

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Mary M. Sheron Wiggins, 43, of Sikeston died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born March 15, 1957, in Oran, Mo., daughter of Walter Smoot and Martha V. Sheron. She and Terry Wiggins were married in December 1994.

Wiggins was a member of New Morning Star Baptist Church in Haywood City, Mo.

Survivors include her husband; six sons, Micheal, Jermaine and Tyrone Sheron, Hershel Wiley, Raymond Mitchell and Damean Winston, all of Sikeston; four daughters, Latotia Stanback, Marvetta Betts, Tashia Sheron and Alexia Winston, all of Sikeston; and her mother, Martha Sheron of Cape Girardeau.

Also surviving are six sisters, Lucille Wiley and Lucy Wilkins of Chicago, Ella Richardson of East St. Louis, Ill., Katie Tate of Markham, Ill., Martha A. Sheron of Cape Girardeau, Laura Williamson of Sikeston; five half sisters, Linda Williams of Haywood City, Carolyn Smoot of Sikeston, Glendora Green of St. Louis, Hattie Manuel of Niles, Mich., and Ella Segers of Oran.

Other survivors include nine half brothers, George and James Smoot of Marion, Ind., Walter Smoot Jr. of St. Louis, Willie Smoot of Niles, John Smoot of Gary, Ind., Charles and Hubert Smoot of Cape Girardeau, Mack Smoot of Chicago, Jesse Smoot of Benton, Mo.; and six grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at New Morning Star Church, with the Rev. Alex Sims officiating. Burial will be in Haywood City Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church Saturday from 11 a.m. until service time.

Williams-Farr and Purnell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
