MARY WHITLEY

DONIPHAN -- Mary Iva Whitley, 68, of Doniphan died Saturday, May 13, 2000, at Ripley County Memorial Hospital in Doniphan.

She was born May 5, 1932, in Morehouse, daughter of Clarence and Dellia Capps Ray. She and Robert Whitley were married Oct. 9, 1951, at Piggott, Ark.

She had worked as a nurses' aide at Charleston Manor. She was a member of the Current River Baptist Church in Doniphan.

She had formerly lived in Morehouse.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Donna Bell of Doniphan; a brother, Johnnie Eaton of Morehouse; three sisters, Ann Harlan and Ilene Hill of Sikeston and Ruth Goff of Valley View, Texas; and a grandson.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel, with Wes Flough officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
