JACKSON -- Funeral service for Mary Elizabeth Warnaka of Jackson will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. The Rev. Donnie Ford will officiate, with burial in Anna City Cemetery in Anna, Ill.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
Warnaka, 89, died Wednesday, March 27, 1996, at Jackson Manor.
She was born Oct. 1, 1906, in McClure, Ill., daughter of Clinton and Flora Verble Burchyett. She and Fred R. Warnaka were married Feb. 25, 1925, in Cairo, Ill. He died July 15, 1982.
The Warnakas farmed in McClure until 1971. She was a member of McClure Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mildred Raby of Benton, Ill., Magdalene Snell of Gale, Ill.; two brothers, Lester Burchyett of Murray, Ky., Callie Burchyett of Sturdivant, Wis.; three sisters, Eliza Vancil of Burlington, Wis., Hazel Gearing of McClure, Gladys Schlichting of Cape Girardeau; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; six great-stepgrandchildren, and four great-great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
