CHAFFEE -- Mary Wilson Johnson, 96, of Chaffee, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 1995, at the Chaffee Nursing Center.
She was born March 9, 1899, at Oran, daughter of William J. and Louise Metz Wilson.
She had been a seamstress for many years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sikeston, and the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 137.
She and James P. Johnson were married June 26, 1921, at Oran. He died in 1978.
Survivors include seven grandchildren, Jimmy Johnson, Paula Johnson Bertrand, Tim Johnson, Jon Johnson, Mark Cook, Cindy Cook and Eric Cook; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, two brothers, five sisters and a granddaughter.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. today at the Sikeston City Cemetery. The Rev. Charles E. Buck, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, will officiate.
