MARY VIED

WYATT -- Mary Thelma Vied, 92, of Wyatt died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 1996, at Bertrand Nursing Facility.

She was born June 2, 1904, in Derby, Ind., daughter of Joshua and Anna Jane Thomas Howell. She and Percy Martin Vied were married Jan. 6, 1926. He died Nov. 27, 1966.

Vied had lived in Mississippi County most of her life. She was a member of St. Henry's Catholic Church.

Survivors include two sons, Lawrence Vied of Phoenix, Ariz., Dennis Vied of Livermore, Calif.; a daughter, Jane Gibson of Granite City, Ill.; two sisters, Geraldine Jones of Tucson, Ariz., Juanita Brown of Wyatt; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston after 5 p.m. today. A prayer service will be held at 7.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Henry's Church, with the Rev. Rich Lause officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery near Charleston.
