ANNA, Ill. -- Funeral for Mary Marie Stubblefield of Cahokia, Ill., will be held at 2 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, Mo. The Rev. Gerald Penn will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until time of service.
Stubblefield, 87, died Sunday, July 1, 2001, at her home.
She was born Sept. 8, 1913, in Anna, daughter of Clifford and Mary Speck Tatum. She married Lee S. Stubblefield, who died June 14, 1992.
Stubblefield had worked at Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis and Parks College in Cahokia. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Cahokia.
Survivors include a son, Vernon Stubblefield of Cahokia; a daughter, Julia "Dink" Fidler of Cahokia; a sister, Nellie Passley of Charleston; two grandsons; and a great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by a son and a brother.
