Mary Ellen Elfrink Standridge, 75, of Cape Girardeau passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016, at her home.
She was born Nov. 24, 1940, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Ben and Goldie Townsend Bullard.
Mary was a graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School. She was a member of LaCroix United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau. She worked at the former Florsheim Shoe Company. She worked in home health care. She also worked in food service for Southeast Hospital for many years and worked in the nutrition-service department for the Cape Girardeau public school system.
Mary was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. She enjoyed playing bingo and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and celebrating Christmas with her family.
Loving survivors include three sons, Mike (Jan) Elfrink of Cape Girardeau, Kevin (Lisa) Elfrink of Jackson and Doug (Sarah) Elfrink of Cape Girardeau; one daughter, Beth (Justin) Lieser of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren, Christopher (Jessica) Brockmire, Jourdan (Cody) Broeker, Sarah Elfrink and Mallory and Allison Lieser; and one great-granddaughter, Grace Brockmire.
Also surviving are a brother, Ben Bullard of Cape Girardeau, and a sister, Joyce (Sonny) Deimund of Cape Girardeau.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Ruth Bodkin and Glenda Abbott.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bruce Baxter officiating.
Interment will follow in Lorimier Cemetery.
