CHARLESTON -- Mary Clark Standard, 71, of Charleston died Saturday, Dec. 4, 1999, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 4, 1928, at Wardell, daughter of Sullivan and Dealie Loggin Clark. She and Ozie Standard were married July 3, 1949.
She was a retired cook for Charleston School District and was a member of St. Matthew Baptist Church, where she served on the Mother Board and Missionary Society. She was also a foster parent for family services for over 30 years.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Larry Standard of Charleston and James Morgan of Sikeston; three daughters, Augustine Deals, Carolyn Frieson and Tracy Morgan, all of Charleston; three brothers, Sullivan Clark Jr. of Essex, Charlie Clark of Charleston and Delmar Clark of St. Louis; a sister, Elizabeth McElmurry of St. Louis; and 10 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Sparks Funeral Home at Charleston.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Matthew Baptist Church. The Rev. James Radliff will officiate, with burial to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
