ADVANCE -- Mary A. Skelton, 84, of Advance died Tuesday, June 8, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Jan. 12, 1915, in Port Byron, Ill., daughter of Joe and Alice Michaels Salvage. She and Lester Skelton were married June 30, 1956. He died Dec. 27, 1990...

ADVANCE -- Mary A. Skelton, 84, of Advance died Tuesday, June 8, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Jan. 12, 1915, in Port Byron, Ill., daughter of Joe and Alice Michaels Salvage. She and Lester Skelton were married June 30, 1956. He died Dec. 27, 1990.

Survivors include a son, William Skelton of Cape Girardeau; two stepdaughters, Mary Skelton of Cape Girardeau, Helen Goettsch of Peoria, Ill.; a brother, Ed Salvage of Long Beach, Calif.; two adopted grandsons; two stepgrandchildren; and two great-stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by six brothers.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Morgan Funeral Home. The Rev. Larry Greenfield will officiate. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 8 a.m. until service time.
