Mary Magelene Russell, 76, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019, at Fountainbleau Lodge.
She was born March 18, 1943, in East Prairie, Missouri, to Oliver and Laura Ellen York Zook.
She worked at Fountainbleau Lodge nursing home more than 10 years. She loved to play bingo and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons, Tom (Vicky) Nunnally of Cape Girardeau, Alfie (Ruby) Nunnally of Thebes, Illinois, and Charlie Russell of Farmington, Missouri; daughters, Rachel (Candice) Russell of Scott City, Scarlett Smith of Indiana and Carla Moit of Morley, Missouri; brothers, Forest Zook of Cape Girardeau, Jack (Jackie) York of Florida and James (Vela) Robinson of Florida; sister, Patricia Lunsford of Cape Girardeau; 19 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Raymond Nunnally; sister, Janett Zook; brother, Johny York; granddaughter, Somer Nunnally; and great-grandson, Justin Trepanier.
Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral will follow Monday at the funeral home, with Brother Albert Sadler officiating.
Burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to Ford and Sons to help the family with funeral expenses.
