CHARLESTON -- Mary Rodgers, 44, of Chicago, Ill., died Monday, Feb. 5, 1996, in Chicago.
She was born Nov. 21, 1951, in Deventer, daughter of Sullivan Clark and Susie B. Kent. She and David L. Rodgers were married Nov. 28, 1972.
Rodgers was a manager at Lloyd and Taylor Department Store. She was formerly of Charleston.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Toni and David Rodgers of Chicago; her mother, Susie Kent of Charleston; father and stepmother, Sullivan and Minnie Clark of Essex; 10 sisters, Barbara Reed of Chicago, Mary Ross of Cairo, Ill., Georgia Anderson of Peoria, Ill., Juliet Hemphill, Carolyn and Sandy Kent of Charleston, Faye Hampton of Parma, Florence Shaw of Sikeston, Pat Clark of Jonesburg, Ark., Kelly Clark of Essex.
Other survivors are 11 brothers, George Jr., Rick and Stephen Kent, all of Charleston, Willie, Sonny and Mitchell Clark, all of Sikeston, Gaylon and Elmer Clark of Malden, Mack Clark of Poplar Bluff, Charles Clark of Kansas City, Johnnie Clark of Texas; maternal grandmother, Lucille Reed of Charleston, and four grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Mercy Seat Baptist Church. The Rev. Leroy Williams will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church from noon to service time.
