Mary Quade

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Mary Harriett Quade, 87, of Red Bud, Illinois, formerly of Chaffee passed away Monday, April 27, 2015, at Red Bud Regional Care Center.

She was born June 22, 1927, in Jackson, to John Albert and Artie Jane Godwin McGuire. She and Lloyd H. Quade Sr. were married Dec. 26, 1948. He preceded her in death Sept. 2, 1982.

Mary was a retired self-employed hair stylist. She was of the Baptist belief and a member of Country CB'ers, Chaffee American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 389 and Chaffee VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 3127.

Survivors include a special friend, Lawrence Piel of Red Bud; a son, Ronald Quade of Waterloo, Illinois; a daughter, Becky Lilly of Scott City; two grandchildren, Karla White and Charlie Lilly of Scott City; and a brother, Harry McGuire of Georgia.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Schaefer, and a son, Butch Quade.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Matt Buttrum officiating.
