Mary Evelyn Pinkerton, 78, of Jackson passed away Sunday, July 5, 2020, at her home.

She was born Aug. 25, 1941, at Neelys Landing, daughter of Carl J. and Ora Emma Bollinger Wallman. She and Elmer Eugene Pinkerton were married Nov. 3, 1960. He survives.

Mary worked 50 years as a housekeeper, taking care of private homes in Cape Girardeau County.

Loving survivors include her husband of nearly 60 years of marriage, Elmer Pinkerton; two daughters, Miranda (Allen) Duvall of Piedmont, Missouri, and Marsha Pinkerton of Neelys Landing; and a sister, Melva Baker (special friend, Don Cathcart) of Oak Ridge.

Also surviving are four grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Darrell Pinkerton; three brothers, Melvin, Carl and Paul Wallman; and a brother-in-law, Gary Baker.

A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at High Hill Church of God Cemetery at Neelys Landing, with Allen Duvall officiating.

The family will host a memorial service at 11 a.m. July 18 at the home of her sister, Melva, in Oak Ridge.

Arrangements are by McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
