MARY MITCHELL

SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- Mary Margaret Mitchell, 69, of Quinton, Va., died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2000, at her home.

She was born Dec. 2, 1930, at Ancell, Mo., (Scott City), daughter of Charles and Regina Essner Welter. She married Edward C. Mitchell.

Mitchell was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Gina Lewis of Quinton; two sons, Steven Mitchell of Quinton, John Mitchell of Florida; a sister, Maurine Brunkhorst of Cape Girardeau; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

Funeral will be at St. John's Catholic Church in Highland Springs, Va. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
