CHARLESTON -- Funeral for Mary Margaret Miller of Charleston will be held at 10 a.m. today at Dogwood United Methodist Church. The Rev. Rick White will officiate. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.

McMikle Funeral Home at Charleston is in charge of arrangements.

Miller, 78, died Sunday, Sept. 5, 1999, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born Dec. 29, 1920, in Charleston, daughter of E.A. and Gertrude Hurley Poeppelmeyer. She and Carl Nolen "Jiggs" Miller were married Sept. 27, 1941. He died Sept. 22, 1993.

Miller was a teacher 42 years at Mississippi County and Jefferson County school districts.

She lived in Mississippi County most of her life. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Retired Teachers Association, and charter member of Delta Kappa Gamma International.

Survivors include a brother, Bill Poeppelmeyer of Bloomfield.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
