CAIRO, Ill. -- Mary C. McGruder, 77, of Carrollton, Texas, formerly of Cairo, died Saturday, Jan. 21, 1995, at the Twin Pines Nursing Center in Carrollton.
She was born Feb. 16, 1907, to Robert and Amy Atkinson White. She married Joseph McGruder, who died in 1982.
McGruder was a member of the Tigert Memorial United Methodist Church in Cairo and the Cairo VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors are a son, Louis McClellan Sr., Carrollton; a sister, Hazel LeRoy, Cairo; five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Barkett Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Provines officiating. Burial will be in Anna City Cemetery in Anna, Ill.
