EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Mary Ellen McCormack, 84, of East Prairie died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007, at East Prairie Nursing Home. She was born Dec. 25, 1922, in East Prairie, daughter of Dick and Ophelia Bryan Russell. McCormack worked 10 years at Simpson Oil Co. in Charleston, Mo., then worked for Bock Oil Co. and MFA, retiring in 1972. She was a member of First Christian Church...

EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Mary Ellen McCormack, 84, of East Prairie died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007, at East Prairie Nursing Home.

She was born Dec. 25, 1922, in East Prairie, daughter of Dick and Ophelia Bryan Russell.

McCormack worked 10 years at Simpson Oil Co. in Charleston, Mo., then worked for Bock Oil Co. and MFA, retiring in 1972. She was a member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include two nieces, Marilyn Kranawetter of Fruitland, Janie Maxwell of East Prairie; and two nephews, Dickey and Buddy Russell of East Prairie.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to service time today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.

The service will be at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home, with Martin Lucas officiating. Burial will be in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
