MARY MARSHALL

CHARLESTON -- Mary Mabel Marshall, 96, of Charleston died Monday, Nov. 29, 1999, at Bertrand Nursing Facility.

She was born May 23, 1903, in Sikeston, daughter of John and Sophia Meyer Witt. She and Raymond C. Marshall were married Jan. 7, 1921. He died Jan. 7, 1960.

Marshall lived in Charleston most of her life. She was a member of St. Henry's Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella, American Legion and VFW auxiliaries, and Woman's Study Club.

Survivors include a son, Raymond "Buddy" Marshall of Charleston; two granddaughters; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers.

Funeral Mass will be at 6 p.m. today at St. Henry's Church, with the Rev. Gerald Brown officiating. Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at IOOF Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church from 5 p.m. until time of Mass.
