DEXTER -- Funeral service for Mary Maudie Jordan of Dexter will be held at 1 p.m. today at New Prospect Church ner Parsons, Tenn. The Rev. Wayne Dismuke will officiate, with burial in New Prospect Cemetery.
Service was also held Monday night at Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter, with Dismuke officiating.
Jordan, 86, died Sunday, Sept. 3, 1995, at Christian Hospital Northeast in St. Louis.
She was born March 13, 1909, in Yuma, Tenn., daughter of Ora and Edna Taylor Johnson. She and Guy W. Jordan were married Dec. 12, 1926, in Shiloh, Tenn. He died Feb. 3, 1985.
Jordan moved to the Aid community in 1954 and to Dexter in 1980. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Lillian Singleton of Bloomfield, Nellie Morris of Florissant, Emma Webb of Benton, Ark., Mary Alice Douglas of Dexter; eight grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
