Helen Louise Hency, 70, of Lake Wales, Fla., died Friday, June 16, 2000, at Lake Wales Hospital.
She was born Feb. 13, 1930, at Sedgewickville, Mo., daughter of Wilburn and Ruby Propst Seabaugh.
She and Claudis W. Hency Jr. were married Oct. 17, 1949, at Cape Girardeau.
She was a lifetime member of the Church of God. She was a Sunday school teacher and volunteered at a Church of God youth center in Florida.
She was a former member of the Cape West Church of God in Cape Girardeau and the Tanner Street Church of God in Sikeston.
She was a Cape Girardeau Central High School graduate. She lived in Cape Girardeau until 1972 and then in Sikeston until moving to Florida in 1983.
Survivors include her husband of Lake Wales; three daughters, Linda Kay Witzel of Sikeston, Donna Sue Cole of Lake Wales and Terri Lou Noland of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Ralph Seabaugh of Piedmont; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel.
Funeral will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Jon Rehbein officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
