CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Mary Lou Altenthal, 62 years old, of 1802 Ricardo in Cape Girardeau, died Thursday, Dec. 20, 1990, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Nov. 17, 1928 in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Linder and Lettie Poinsett McCullough.
She was married to Robert Jefferson Altenthal on Dec. 29, 1951 in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death on April 20, 1984.
Surviving are three sons, Scott and Brad Altenthal, both of Cape Girardeau, and Tim Altenthal, of St. Louis; one daughter, Amy Randol, of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Pauline McCullough, of Cape Girardeau, and Kathleen Johnson, Sikeston; and seven grandchildren.
She lived in Cape Girardeau most of her life. She was a member of the Third Street United Methodist Church and the UMW.
She most recently worked in the sandwich shop at Doctors Park.
Friends may call at the Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Scott Moon officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery.
