McCLURE, Ill. -- Funeral for Mary Lou Kaufman of McClure will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel in Cape Girardeau, Mo. The Rev. Greg Morrison will officiate, with burial in Lindsey Cemetery.
Friends may call at the chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Kaufman, 65, died Thursday, June 11, 1998, at her home.
She was born Oct. 30, 1932, in Chester, daughter of Edgar and Mabel Hale Mehrer. She and William E. Kaufman were married Dec. 29, 1957, at Chester.
Kaufman was a telephone operator at Chester 10 years. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church in McClure.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Michael Kaufman of McClure; two daughters, Cynthia Menke of Evansville, Tracy Teague of McClure; a brother, Edgar Mehrer of Chester; a sister, Pearllean Wofford of Chester; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, a brother, and a sister.
