Mary Jo Donna Way, 59, of Cape Girardeau passed away Friday, Feb. 5, 2021, at her home.
She was born April 2, 1961, in Cape Girardeau to Joseph D. and Mary "Marty" Fulton King. She and Donald T. Way were married July 25, 1980, in Cape Girardeau.
Mary Jo was a 1979 graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School.
She had been employed in the bookkeeping department for Rose City Oil, DeStock Company, Cape Electric, and especially enjoyed her position working the counter at Honey Baked Ham.
Mary was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral Church in Cape Girardeau.
She enjoyed traveling, going to the beach, being outdoors and helping others. She was also an avid reader, especially biographies.
Loving survivors include her husband, Donald, of over 40 years; her mother, Mary "Marty" King of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Sheila (Rick) Pecaut of Fruitland; two aunts, Shirley King and Sue Dozier, both of Jackson; and a nephew, "RJ" (Lori) Peel, and their children, Camden and Liam.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joe King.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
