THEBES, Ill. -- Mary Jo Collins McKee, 82, of Thebes passed away Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Feb. 8, 1932, at Cache, Illinois, daughter of Williams Issac and Gertrude Greenley Collins.
Mary Jo was a member of Alexander Free Will Baptist Church near Thebes. She retired as a baker from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include a daughter, Rhonda Sue Stokes (Terry Hunt) of Tarpon Springs, Florida; two sons, Jerry Leland (Georgia) McKee of Thebes and Michael Lee McKee of Schenectady, New York; a son-in-law, Walt Grace of Olive Branch, Illinois; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. McKee was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leland Leon McKee, on Aug. 25, 2013; and a daughter, Anita Jo Grace, on May 15, 2014.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at Alexander Free Will Church.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, with Earnest Brown officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Thebes.
Jones Funeral Home in Tamms, Illinois, is in charge of arrangements.
