ADVANCE -- Mary Jane Strobel, 91, of rural Advance died Saturday, Dec. 28, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 2, 1905, in Zadock, the daughter of Charles and Leah Strauser Rampley. She married Freeman Richard Strobel, who preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Bell City Church of Christ.

Survivors include a son, Arthur Leon Strobel of Joplin; two daughters, Delores Griffin of Advance and Ruth Rainey of Cape Girardeau; 11 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Lewis Gardner officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Hill Cemetery near Swinton.
