Mary Marguerette Huckstep, 101, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, April 23, 2016, at Ratliff Care Center.
She was born Oct. 10, 1914, in Cape Girardeau to Roy I. and Elsie M. Nanna Moore. She and Glenn Huckstep were married March 7, 1935, at Cape Girardeau. He passed away in 1980.
Mary was a former sales clerk at J.C. Penney store for 15 years.
She was a very active member of Evangelical United Church of Christ in Cape Girardeau and was a member of the Friendship Circle and Mary Martha Circle.
Survivors include her daughter, Phyllis R. Bono of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren, Cheryl Olson, Elizabeth LaRue, Michael Bono and Robert Bono; and 10 great-grandchildren, Kirk LaRue, Michelle LaRue, Katie LaRue, Christopher Bono, Amanda Bono, Alec Bono, Madisson Bono, Stacy Bono, Ashley Bono and Kristen Bono.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Reginald and Bobby Moore; and two sisters, Jane Morse and Ruth Hardy.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiating. Burial will be at Lorimier Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Evangelical United Church of Christ in Cape Girardeau.
