Mary Hertenstein

ANNA, Ill. -- Mary Patricia "Tricia" Hertenstein, 60, of Anna died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2006, at her home.

She was born Jan. 1, 1946, in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of Thomas Lawrence and Hilda Weigand Finan. She and the Rev. Dr. Richard R. Hertenstein were married Feb. 25, 1969, in Columbus, Ohio.

Hertenstein was a partner in ministry at the churches her husband served, most recently at Mount Moriah Lutheran in Anna. She was active in women's Bible studies, member of the church choir, and attended two assemblies of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America as a voting member.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Rebecca Tomlinson of Kaukauna, Wisc.; two sons, Lawrence Hertenstein of Bloomington, Ill., Benjamin Hertenstein of Lawton, Iowa; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna after 5 p.m. Sunday, and Monday from 10 a.m. until time of service.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Mount Moriah Church, with Bishop Warren Freiheit and the Rev. David Eidson officiating.
