Mary Hamilton

LOWNDES, Mo. -- Mary L. Hamilton, 61, of Lowndes passed away Monday, May 10, 2010, at her home.

She was born Nov. 1, 1948, in Chaffee, Mo., daughter of the late Bill and Peggy Harmon Slinkard. She and Larry Hamilton were married June 7, 1963, at Scott City.

Hamilton was of the Methodist belief. She worked at Tri-County Health Care. She enjoyed quilting, painting and crocheting, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Christy (Jeff) Stoneking of Lowndes, Becky (Bill) Francis of Jackson, Amy (Justin) Bennett of Lowndes; two sisters, Dixie (Robert) Wilson of Cape Girardeau, Ruth Ann Slinkard of Chaffee; 10 grandchildren, Adam Stoneking, Brandi Yount, Eric Smith, Johnny Francis, Krista Francis, Ariel Smith, Audrey Bennett, Catarina Smith, Macey Bennett, Larry Bennett; and a great-grandchild, Emma Yount.

The funeral was held May 13 at Ruegg Funeral Home in Greenville, Mo., with the Rev. Jerry Mattson officiating. Cremation followed the service.
