Mary E. Downs Graham, 93, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002, at the Lutheran Home. She was born Sept. 12, 1909, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of William C. and Maude Ferguson Downs. She and Frank T. Graham were married Aug. 13, 1931, in Jackson. He died in 1968...

Mary E. Downs Graham, 93, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born Sept. 12, 1909, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of William C. and Maude Ferguson Downs. She and Frank T. Graham were married Aug. 13, 1931, in Jackson. He died in 1968.

Mrs. Graham was a seamstress 30 years, and a dietitian at Notre Dame High School nine years. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral; member and past president of St. Mary's Council of Catholic Women, Campster Club and St. Mary's Mothers Club; and member of Cape Navy Mothers. She was a member of Cape Girardeau Senior Center and served three terms on the board of directors.

She grew up in Paragould, Ark., and returned to Cape Girardeau in 1928.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Sandra Graham of Wasilla, Alaska, David and Marybeth Graham of St. Louis; two sisters, Lillian "Bobbie" Kuss of Cape Girardeau, Cathleen Hastings of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; five grandchildren, Julia Graham, Ben Graham and Luke Graham of St. Louis, and Erica and Kara Graham of Wasilla.

She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, four brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Cathedral, with Msgr. Richard Rolwing officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
