Mary Jane Green Gonzales, 78, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Sept. 23, 2019, at Monticello House in Jackson.

She was born Nov. 8, 1940, in Cape Girardeau to Harold G. and Angie Gertrude Swan Green. She and Danny J. Gonzales were married Oct. 24, 1986, at Benton, Missouri. He preceded her in death Feb. 14, 2011.

She was a graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School.

Mary worked at Florsheim Shoe for 30 years.

She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral.

Survivors include her daughters, Laura (Nikki) Baker of Manvel, Texas, and Michelle Malone of Jackson; sons, Gregory Baker and James (Traci) Malone III, both of Fruitland; sister, Haroletta Schlimme of Burfordville; grandchildren, Lauren (A.H.) Marshall, Kalie Hunt, Caden Bogenpohl, Josh Baker, Kiefer Baker, Amanda (Charlie) Motley, Megan (Jackson) Miner and Joey (K.T.) Kurrie; and great-grandchildren, Abigail, Eden, Levi, Trenton and Legend.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Jean Wibbenmeyer; and brother, Harold G. Green Jr.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., with parish prayers at 7 p.m., followed by a rosary, today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Cathedral in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Allan Saunders officiating. Entombment will be at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.
