Mary Lu Goddard, 74, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
She was born July 13, 1936, in St. Louis, to Elmer John and Matilda Bernadine Stirnemann Kelly. Mary Lu was married to Bervin N. Goddard May 3, 1958.
Goddard graduated from St. Anthony's High School in St. Louis. She worked as a counter for Shopper's Cleaners in St. Louis, retiring in 1995. Mary Lu was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson.
Survivors include her husband Bervin; three sons, Donald E. (Janis) Goddard of St. Louis, David J. (Robin) Goddard of Piedmount, Mo., Douglas W. (Debbie) Goddard of Bloomsdale, Mo.; two daughters, Debbie A. (Brad) Burgess of Gordonville, Dawn I. (Scott) Robert of Cape Girardeau; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Church, with Msgr. Edward Eftink officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery in Commerce, Mo.
