COMMERCE -- Mary Grace Upchurch, 73, died Oct. 4, 1992, at the Chaffee Nursing Center.
She was born July 4, 1919, in Lake County, Tenn., to Richard Smith and Bessie Barbie, both of whom preceded her in death. On August 21, 1937, she married West Miller Upchurch, who preceded her in death on May 26, 1988.
She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
She is survived by two sons, Sgt. Mack Damon Upchurch of Stuttgart, Germany, and "Bill" Wilford Upchurch of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Betty Jaco of Chaffee and Martha Kraft of Commerce; three sisters, Relma Leary, Frances Petty and Edna Brown, all of Ridgely, Tenn.; eight grandchildren, eight stepgrandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, two brothers and one sister.
Visitation is at 5 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, at the chapel, with the Rev. LeRoy Davenport officiating.
Burial will be at Oakdale Cemetery in Commerce.
