CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Mary Faye Dennis Eachus Caul, 91, of Chaffee peacefully went home to the Lord on Friday, March 11, 2016. Mary Faye was born Dec. 18, 1924, in Advance, Missouri, the only daughter of the late Mary Kitchen and Walter Dennis. She married Arthur "Mack" Eachus on March 8, 1944, and he preceded her in death Dec. 2, 1976. She married Edward Caul on July 25, 1981, and he preceded her in death Oct. 25, 2006...

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Mary Faye Dennis Eachus Caul, 91, of Chaffee peacefully went home to the Lord on Friday, March 11, 2016.

Mary Faye was born Dec. 18, 1924, in Advance, Missouri, the only daughter of the late Mary Kitchen and Walter Dennis.

She married Arthur "Mack" Eachus on March 8, 1944, and he preceded her in death Dec. 2, 1976. She married Edward Caul on July 25, 1981, and he preceded her in death Oct. 25, 2006.

She is survived by her son, John Russell "Russ" Eachus, and his wife, Katie, of St. Louis; her granddaughter, Gina Glaus Lowrey, and great-grandchildren, Logan and Garrett of Prairie Village, Kansas; a stepdaughter, Marilyn Caul, and her husband, Thomas McClure, of Leopold, Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary Faye was preceded in death by her seven brothers and her daughter, Mary Sue "Suzi" Eachus Glaus.

Mary Faye shared her zest for life and love of people with everyone she met. She enjoyed going to "Larry's" multiple times a week and to the Chaffee Nutrition Center each weekday to share the camaraderie of her friends and regale them with her stories.

She was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church in Chaffee for 35 years. She taught vacation Bible school for many years and always had a soft spot in her heart for children. She served on the church's Staff Parish Relations Committee.

She was an active member of the International Chapter CX PEO Sisterhood. She served on the Chaffee Public Library Board and in later years her ministry became one of weekly visits to Chaffee Nursing Home to offer the gift of presence to those she met.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Chaffee, with the Rev. Gwen Streeter presiding. A reception will follow in the Church Fellowship Hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a memorial donation to the Chaffee Public Library, 202 Wright Ave., Chaffee, MO 63740; First United Methodist Church of Chaffee, 203 S. Third St., Chaffee, MO 63740; or the charity of your choice.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee is in charge of arrangements.
