Mary Evelyn (Vancil) Langston, 78, of Plymouth, Mich., formerly of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, July 11, 1998, at St. Mary's Hospital in Livona, Michigan.
She was born March 16, 1920 at Hayti, MO, the daughter of Will L. and Annelah (Sans) Vancil.
She married James Harley Langston on August 15, 1936 in Cape Girardeau. He died November 26, 1992.
Mrs. Langston was a former cosmetic salesperson at Finney Drug Store in Cape Girardeau.
She was a member of Red Star Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John David and Linda Langston of Plymouth, Mich.; two grandsons, Hunter Harley and Brandon David Langston of Plymouth, Mich.; four sisters, Jeanette Estes of Jackson, MO; Francis Coffey of Arkansas; Kathleen Gatewood of Memphis, TN; and Bonnie Hamilton of Texas. Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 pm at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel in Cape Girardeau and tomorrow, July 16, 1998, at 9 am at Red Star Baptist Church where the funeral service will be at 10 am with the Rev. Don Stephens officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
