Mary Mack Estes-Gieselmann, 50, of Millersville died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Dec. 2, 1952, in Evansville, Ind., daughter of Carl Mack and Helen Phelps Estes. She and Jan Gieselmann were married Jan. 9, 1982, in Cape Girardeau.
Gieselmann was a social studies teacher. She taught four years at Jackson R-2 School District's Alternative School, a year at Cape Girardeau Public Schools, 12 years at Hazelwood High School and was named Teacher of the Year in 1993, and was a teacher four years at St. Louis Special School District.
She was a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church and a lay speaker for the Methodist Church. She was a member of several animal organizations.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Todd Gieselmann of St. Louis, Marc Gieselmann of San Diego, Calif.; a daughter, Sheri Walker of Stewartsville, Mo.; a brother, Glenn Merrits of St. Louis; and four grandchildren.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at New McKendree Church, with the Rev. John Rice officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
