Mary Anne Eifert, 83, of Shawneetown died Monday, June 3, 2013, at her home.
She was born May 30, 1930, in Fornfelt (Scott City), to William and Anna Marie Georger Dohogne. She married Charles Frederick Eifert on Oct. 21, 1950, in Piggott, Ark. He preceded her in death Jan. 5, 1995.
Mary and her husband farmed in the Shawneetown area 41 years. She was a member of Eisleben Lutheran Church in Scott City, and Pairs and Spares of the church.
Survivors include a son, Charles "Sam" (Carol Ann) Eifert of Shawneetown; two daughters, Patricia Eifert of Shawneetown, Jacqueline (Jim) Tsikhlakis of Fruitland; a sister, Shirley Baker of Waterloo, Ill.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, and from 9 a.m. until time of service Thursday at Eisleben Church.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with the Rev. Marty Hasz officiating. Burial will be in Eisleben Lutheran Cemetery.
