Mary Ann Eftink, daughter of the late August Gregory and Agatha Marie Bucher Goetz, was born Feb. 6, 1943, in New Hamburg, Missouri, and departed this life Monday, May 18, 2020, at Monticello House in Jackson at the age of 77 years.

On April 20, 1963, she was united in marriage to Thomas Henry Eftink in New Hamburg. He preceded her in death.

Mary was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran, Missouri. She was a former homemaker, helped out on the family farm and was a former resident of Oran.

Survivors include sons, Brad (Marla) Eftink of Sikeston, Missouri, and Jeff (Samantha) Eftink of St. Paul, Missouri; daughters, Laura (Brian) Criddle of Cape Girardeau and Sandy (Paul) Norwick of Mountain Home, Arkansas; sister, Doris Jean Brakefield of Bonita Springs, Florida; grandchildren, Chelsea (Anthony) Riley, Camden (Rachel) Criddle, Carlee Criddle, Zachary Eftink, Gavin Eftink, Nathan Eftink, Conrad Criddle, Trevor Eftink, Eric Eftink, Dalton Criddle, Asa Norwick, Damian Criddle and Ryder Norwick; two stepgrandchildren, Heather Hall and Dusty Hall; six great-grandchildren, Kienan Riley, Ambrose Riley, Joseph Criddle, Agatha Riley, Carita Criddle and Lawrence Riley; and great-stepgrandchildren, Madison Hall, Paige Cullen, Riley Cullen, Josie Hall and Tobie Hall.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Melvin and Norbert Goetz; sisters, Ella Marie Lix and Shirley Keesee; grandson, Jude Norwick; and great-granddaughter, Caeli Criddle.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. today.

A Eucharistic celebration will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran, conducted by the Rev. Randy Tochtrop. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
