SIKESTON -- Mary Elizabeth Martinez, 81, formerly of Crowder and a resident of the Hunter Acres Caring Center in Sikeston, died April 30, 1993, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born Dec. 11, 1911, in Sikeston to the late William J. and Rena F. Marshall Pratt. She was a seamstress, and was formerly employed at a dress manufacturing company in St. Louis.
She was a member of the Sikeston Eagles Ladies Auxiliary and the St. Louis Local of the Amalgamated Garment Workers of America.
She was first married to Frank Bryant, who preceded her in death. On Aug. 4, 1943, she married J. Dan Martinez in St. Louis. He survives of the home at Route 1, Sikeston.
Other survivors include two sons, Harold Bryant of Zephyr Hills, Fla., and Glenn Allen Bryant of Harvester, Mo.; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in the chapel, with the Rev. Marvin Graham, pastor of the Vanduser Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
