Mary L. Deneke, 81, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, April 15, 2006, at Ratliff Care Center.
She was born Oct. 5, 1924, at Harvey, Ill., the daughter of the late Donald and Marjorie Monroe Kyger. She and Marvin L. Deneke were married Sept. 3, 1983, at Gordonville.
Deneke was a social worker employed by the Department of Social Services and worked at Saint Francis Medical Center as a ward clerk until her retirement.
Survivors include her husband; two cousins, the Rev. Alexander Stewart and his wife, Hilda, of Northfield, Mass., and Annalee Stewart of Minneapolis, Minn., and a special friend, Melba Brase of Cape Girardeau.
A memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at Christ Episcopal Church in Cape Girardeau with the Rev. Robert Towner officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by Ford and Sons Funeral Home, 1001 N. Mount Auburn Road, Cape Girardeau.
