MARY D. ARNZEN

MARBLE HILL -- Mary D. Arnzen, 92, of Marble Hill, died Wednesday, Aug. 11, 1993, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Nov. 5, 1900, at Leopold, daughter of George and Gesina Wubker Scharenborg.

She married Henry J. Arnzen, Oct. 15, 1924. He died Oct. 23, 1961.

Arnzen was a member of the St. Johns Catholic Church at Leopold, the Ladies Sodality of the church.

Survivors include two sons, Henry G. Arnzen of Leopold, Leonard Arnzen of Wentzville, Mo.; two daughters, Celestine Horrell of Marble Hill, Wilma Arnzen of Marble Hill; two sisters, Katie Renaud and Frances Scharenborg, both of Perryville; 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by seven brothers and a sister.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill. Parish prayers will be at 7:30 p.m.; Knights of Columbus Rosary at 8 p.m.

Funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Johns Catholic Church at Leopold, with the Rev. Michael Casteel officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
