MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Mary Margaret Cook, 87, of Marble Hill passed away Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Feb. 2, 1933, in Warrenton, Missouri, daughter of Herman Fredrick and Bessie Mae McBride Stuehmeyer. She and Gordon C. Cook were united in marriage Sept. 13, 1947, and he passed away Sept. 7, 2011.
Mary worked for International Shoe Factory and on her family farm, and was a member of Hurricane Fork General Baptist Church and attended Community Church in Marble Hill.
Survivors include sons, Eddie (Diana) Cook, Gary (Elaina) Cook and Lyndall (Terri) Cook, all of Marble Hill, and Ray (Glenda) Cook of Burfordville; daughter, Margie (Shannon) Gaines of Marble Hill; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Helen Moore of Austin, Texas, and Wanda Crouse of Chicago.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gordon; brothers, Herman Stuehmeyer and Larry Robinson; and granddaughter, Gina Cook.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Sister Diana Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Pulliam Cemetery.
